Amaranthus graecizans was among the plants (used by Sheko ethnic group in Ethiopia), assigned with high fidelity level, a possible indication of their better healing potential (Giday et al., 2010).
The plant has been reported among the plants suggested that may contribute to the observed better aging of rural Mediterranean populations (Anon, 2005). Amaranthus graecizans showed inhibitory activity against Bacillus cereus (Koochak et al., 2010), and antioxidant activity (Ibrahim et.al.,2011).
