Neuradaceae is a small family with three genera and ten species distributed within North Africa, the East Mediterranean, Sinai, Sudan, Ethiopia, and Saudi Arabia to the Indian desert. In Egypt it is represented by a monotypic genus Neurada (Neurada procumbens L.) (Marzouk et al., 2014).
