Edible parts of Caralluma edulis Benth. (consumed in Pakistan) were high in water(95.8%), low in fiber (0.59) and poor in proteins (0.17%), lipids (0.23%) and carbohydrates(2.52%).
However, these parts were rich in Ca, Fe, P and Zn (Memon et al., 1984).
