The following five protostane-type tetracyclic triterpenoids were isolated from the rhizomes of Alisma gramineum: 16,23-oxidoalisol B, 11-deoxyalisol C, alisol F, 16β-methoxyalisol B acetate and 16β-hydroxyalisol B-acetate (Wo et al., 2005).
