The following compounds were isolated from Blepharis linariifolia Pers.: apigenin 7-methyl ether, luteolin 7-methyl ether, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, α-resorcylic acid and vanillic acid (Daniel and Sabnis, 1987).
The total phenolic and flavonoid content of six Acanthaceae species, including Blepharis linariifolia, growing in Burkina Faso have been reported (Sawadogo et al, 2006).
